Rongel is a typeface inspired by the 18th-century’s types from the Spanish punch cutter Francisco Rongel, showcased in Muestras de los punzones y matrices de letra que se funde en el obrador de la Imprenta Real, Madrid, 1799.
Rongel is primarily a text typeface but due to its demarked shapes, it will handle a nice display setting. It is available in three weights from Regular to Bold, with matching italics.
Rongel is part of our Iberian historical series, along with Eudald News, Merlo, and Geronimo (available through The Enschedé Font Foundry).
